VDE-AR-N 4120 extends the principles of VDE-AR-N 4110, applicable at medium voltage, to the high-voltage level and governs planning, construction, operation and verification for generators, consumers, storage and mixed installations at that voltage tier. Like the neighbouring TAR documents, the rule implements the European network codes Requirements for Generators (RfG) and Demand Connection Code (DCC) for Germany. For installations at extra-high voltage, VDE-AR-N 4130 applies instead.
