Definition (EN)
State of charge indicates how much charge a cell or battery can still deliver in its present condition, relative to its available capacity (0 to 100 percent). SoC is not directly measurable; the BMS estimates it from current, voltage and temperature, and accuracy depends heavily on the method and cell chemistry. It should be distinguished from SoH, which describes ageing, and from state of energy, which refers to energy content in Wh.

SoC ist keine direkt messbare Größe, sondern wird vom BMS aus Strom, Spannung und Temperatur geschätzt; die Genauigkeit hängt stark vom Verfahren und von der Zellchemie ab. Abzugrenzen vom SoH, der die Alterung beschreibt, und vom State of Energy, der sich auf den Energieinhalt in Wh bezieht.
