Definition (EN)
Depth of discharge states how far a battery is discharged within a cycle, usually as a percentage of rated capacity; approximately, DoD equals 100 percent minus SoC. Permitted depth of discharge strongly affects achievable cycle life and is therefore a central parameter in warranty terms. The reference matters: DoD relative to rated capacity is not the same as DoD relative to usable capacity.

Die Entladetiefe gibt an, wie weit eine Batterie in einem Zyklus entladen wird, meist in Prozent der Nennkapazität; rechnerisch gilt näherungsweise DoD = 100 Prozent minus SoC. Die zulässige Entladetiefe beeinflusst die erreichbare Zyklenzahl erheblich und ist deshalb ein zentraler Parameter in Garantiebedingungen. Wichtig ist die Angabe des Bezugs: DoD auf die Nennkapazität ist nicht identisch mit DoD auf die nutzbare Kapazität.
